simple abundance

What brings you simple abundance and happiness?

Sometimes we are forced to slow down and keep things simple; most of us appreciate this momentary retreat from the complex lives we’ve created.

Why not choose voluntary simplicity.  Not a return to a more primitive way of life (or maybe), but a daily, weekly, moment-to-moment choice to breathe more fully, relax, let go of the desire to be or have more.

There is a difference between intentional simplicity and forced deprivation.  Intentional simplicity brings peace of mind and joy.   You can choose simplicity, how?

Intentional Simplicity is letting go of desire and things that do not serve a purpose in your life.  Start to let go of people, things and events that drag you down.

Intentional Simplicity is being grateful.  Being grateful for this moment.  Being grateful for this breath.  Being grateful that you get to choose simplicity.

Intentional Simplicity brings more of what you want, not less.  More time to do what you love.  More time to be with what and who you want to be with.

Intentional Simplicity means choosing quality over quantity.  Quality things.  Quality time.  Quality work.  Quality relationships.

If you could simplify this day, or this week, list 3 changes you would make (for example, today I will eat 3 simple meals; or this week I will not fill every waking hour with work or social life but will make time to just sit and read a good book or go for a walk; or this week I will simplify my wardrobe by donating 10 items of clothing I haven’t worn in at least a year).

Your turn.  List 3 ways you’ll simply your life today or this week:

1.

2.

3.

Enjoy the peace and satisfaction these simple choices bring you.
